Act of Trust, 2025

This collaboration brings together the practices of ceramic sculptor Rachel Hadari and wood and ceramic artist Adi Kitov. Their friendship formed in the wake of shared trauma. Though they had known of each other for years, their bond deepened only when their personal worlds shifted. In the studio, a quiet trust emerged. What began as friendship grew into collaboration. They worked through their practices individually yet found a shared rhythm in the belief that making could become a form of listening, witnessing, and support. This body of work reflects that connection. It is shaped by care, by presence, and by the decision to carry the pain together. Their materials express what words cannot. Each point of golden contact becomes a trace of understanding, a shared weight, and a reflection of the strength found in holding and being held.
This work is a floor installation made of wood and ceramic, created through a collaboration between Rachel Hadari and Adi Kitov. The installation is arranged in a circular formation, covering about 96 square feet. Some pieces lean, some reach, some settle low to the ground. Together, they create a quiet movement across the floor. The space invites viewers to walk among the works and witness a conversation of support, balance, and human connection.
